dustinjwallace: I got this message today from my friend Audrey from Mid-Hudson Animal Aid. You may remember Audrey and MHAA from Bonnie the kitten who I posted about a few months ago. I believe in the work being done at MHAA, this is a group who have dedicated themselves to helping animals who desperately need…

dustinjwallace: I got word from friend, that a kitten was found this morning in the woods not far from where I live. Her lip has been torn from her jaw, and one of her legs may be broken. Rather than ignore it, the woman who found her took her to Mid Hudson Animal Aid, where my friend Audrey works. They are…

I forgot that Jesse took video of the guitar being engraved, the sound was crap cause it was on my old camera so I just muted everything out, but I thought it was at least worth posting

Wallace Guitars
So here’s the concept, about a year and a half ago I needed a new guitar, and I had what I thought was a pretty good idea about how to get one, but more than that, how to create something truly unique. I wanted a guitar that no one on earth had. Sure, you can mix and match woods, put in crazy pickups, or have a certain amount of freedom with the inlays, but that’s not enough, I want...

I haven't forgotten about the blog
I’m just stumped on where to go from here, I have now played a few shows with the guitar and it rules, I had intended on having a photographer take pictures of it at a show but it didn’t end up happening. I’m stoked we’re gonna be really getting to work on the new record soon (we’re going in to demo out 3 more songs this week) the new EP will be 5 songs Dead Weight (a...

The layout is done!
So I just finished laying out all the names for the guitar. Tomorrow morning Jesse and I are going to drive up the the engraver and get it all done. I’m so stoked to have made it this far and be so close to actually being able to play it. I will be taking video of the entire process tomorrow so you guys will get to see how it happens. I also have a couple ideas for things I want to do once...

The guitar parts have shipped
I just got an email that the parts of my guitar have been shipped from Warmoth, so stoked. Also, I have decided that the names will all be the same font and size, I appreciate everyone’s input as to the layout but in the end, you all paid the same and as such, your names will be the same size. I will post pics of the body, or maybe video as soon as I get the box, so excited, thank you again...

Does size matter?
I know you all paid the same amount of money, but for design purposes I was thinking about playing with name sizes for some cool effects. But I wanted to get your input to make sure you agreed this would be a fair option. Please vote in the poll ASAP so I can start laying out your names.

Update from Rob at Warmoth
So, Rob from Warmoth called me today to tell me that he’s excited about the guitar project but that there is a slight issue with my order, since I am only having the guitar routed for the bridge pickup, there isn’t a way to route the wiring for a toggle switch, so that will not be on there. With the removal of the toggle switch we are left with a little more room for the names and thus...

I work towards the goals that I set
So here we are. 3 weeks ago I decided to start this project, pretty well convinced that I would get about 10 donations and have to call the whole thing off. Last night I reached 50 donations, and this morning I ordered the body for the guitar. I can’t believe how amazing the response to this has been, thank you so much to everyone who has donated thus far, those who have promised to donate...
